I need a good Christmas idea for a big family?
This Christmas I am stumped, I have a big family; Mom and dad, sister, 2 grandmas, 1 uncle, and 3 aunts. Plus I need to have something just in case a friend decides to get something for me. I need some good ideas like candles, but something different, not just candles for everyone. Plus my mom is a problem she has too much of the things she likes ex. purses,shoes,clothes,jewelry,statues,and candle stuff. So I need a good idea to buy something for her. Any ideas would be great! Thanks in advance!
Could you try making something like a craft or ornament for everyone instead of buying stuff? I know your grandmothers especially would be thrilled to have their grandchild make them something. Maybe write each one a poem and take them to Kinkos or whatever copy place is by you and have them put the poems into a nice font and printed. Then, put them in nice but affordable frames, wrap them and then give them those. Try to write a poem along the lines if “what you mean to me” and individualize them. You could tell your dad thank you for being a father that was around when so many weren’t (believe me, he will be extremely proud of what you write).
Another idea for your mom especially is to make a cute little coupon book with some coupons like “Do mom’s shopping one day for her” or “Do all the laundry for mom one day” or “Cook dinner for mom one night” and so on. Cut up construction paper into 3 by 5 pieces (trace an index card lightly with pencil and then cut them up). Make half a dozen “coupons” and then line them up with a cover piece that you write on and a back piece that is blank. Write on the front something like “Coupon Book for Mom” or something of the sort. Staple them and there you go, you have a nice gift that will mean a lot to her and it’s probably something she’s never been given before. 
Maybe mix it up and do the poems for your grandmothers and dad and do the coupon book for your mom. come up with a few more original ideas for your uncles and aunts. add some minor gifts alongside like candles or whatever.
Crafts that can be hung like tree ornaments with personalized messages are always fun as most people put up trees. Wreaths are always nice. Maybe a wreath for each aunt with a little painted wooden piece that hangs in the middle that has a nice message. You can usually find such things at your local crafts store (around me the big one is Jacobsons).
