Halloween is one of those holidays that has its own special brand of fun, not least of which is trick-or-treating. My son will turn 3 a month before vacation, and he's at the point where it actually trick-or-treating is and is very excited about it, although you can not eat sweets much. I think half the fun for him is to dress up and parade around the neighborhood – is going to be Tigger this year – and visit worldwide. He's a little social. Remember last year, finished with tons of candy, and probably have to eat one or two things (giving 2 years of age or candies Tootsie Rolls?!). This year, at least I know what we can do with some extra sweet: Make this recipe title = "Halloween Candy Cake"> Halloween candy cake! Halloween Candy Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted roasted peanuts
- 3 / 4 cup flour
- 6 eggs
- 2 yolks egg
- 1 cup light brown sugar firmly
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 / cream 2 cup peanut butter
- Butter 1 / 2 cup
- 5 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 / 2 cup whipping cream
- 5 packs of 1.8 oz Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, finely chopped
- 1-1/2 cups chilled whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1 / 2 cup peanuts roasted unsalted, cut into chunks
- 3 2.1-oz Videos bars, cut into 3/4-inch slices
- Parts 1 / 2 cup Reese
Instructions
Cake
- Preheat oven to 375f degrees.
- Butter and flour two 9-inch round cake pan cake.
- Grind the walnuts and flour 3 / 4 cup processor until fine.
- Using mixer, beat eggs, yolks, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until mixture whitens and triples in volume.
- Times in the mixed nuts.
- Divide dough between prepared pans and lids smooth.
- Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 20 minutes.
- Cool cakes in pans on rack.
Filling and Topping
- Mix peanut butter, butter and sugar in processor until smooth.
- With the machine running, add cream through feed tube and blend until mixture is light and fluffy.
- Invert cake on work surface.
- Using a serrated knife, cut each cake into 2 layers.
- Place 1 cake layer on the tray, cut side up.
- Spread with 1 / 3 of filling and sprinkle with 1 / 3 cups chopped peanut butter.
- Top with second cake layer place, cut side down.
- Continue with remaining filling layers, peanut butter cups and cake, ending with cake, cut side down.
- In addition, beat the cream, sugar and vanilla in large of the cake forming an edge of 1.5 inches high.
- Cover top of cake with Butterfingers leaving 1/2-inch border.
- Spoon reserved whipped cream in a pastry bag fitted with medium star tip, pipe stars around the top edge.
- Garnish with Reese's Pieces.
